5. Link Exchanges
Having lots of relevant one-way links to your site is looked upon very favorably by search engines. There used to be a time when reciprocal linking strategies worked. But Google caught on and deemed two-way exchanges to be an 'unnatural' linking scheme. Websites with too many inbound/outbound (reciprocal) links don't rank very well in Google's search engine. Sometimes it is what gets websites banned outright. The best link exchange strategy is three-way linking. In order for this to work, a webmaster would need to have, at least, two websites.
